旋风除尘器是最早的除尘器之一，也是人们用的比较早，得到广泛的推广，旋风除尘器的造价要比现在的脉冲除尘器，布袋除尘器的代价要小的多。它的特点是价格低，阻力小，效率高，处理风量大，性能稳定等特点。为净化工程的标配设备，风除尘器是由进气管、排气管、圆筒体、圆锥体和灰斗组成。旋风除尘器结构简单，易于制造、安装和维护管理，设备投资和操作费用都较低，已广泛用于从气流中分离固体和液体粒子，或从液体中分离固体粒子，配合光解净化器和等离子净化器可达到环保法规排放。
